Hey friend! Welcome to Alpha. We're looking forward to meeting you.

Where is Alpha? This year, we'll be hosting Alpha at Busy Bee Cafe at 22 North Main Street in Rochester, NH on Monday evenings from 6:30-8pm - begining September 22nd through November 8th, with a weekend session on Saturday November 14th (info TBA).

How Much Does It Cost? Alpha is entirely free of cost to visitors; all costs are covered by generous volunteers and donors.

What is Alpha? Alpha is quite simply a space to have conversations around faith, God, Jesus, and some of the deeper things in life. We'll have a short talk (about 20 minutes) and then about an hour to unpack it, discuss our views, challenges, and questions with one another. Alpha is NOT a Bible study. There's no pressure, and no right or wrong answers - just room to have a conversation we don't get to have with anyone at any given point in time. In the meantime, we hope it's also a place where you can meet new people, maybe make a friend or two, and leave with a little more clarity on some of the questions you're holding on to.

Who's Alpha for? Alpha is for anyone. Truly, anyone can come to an Alpha meeting and get something out of it. More specifically, though, Alpha is helpful for people who are curious about the claims of Jesus, who may be on the outside of the faith, or who are just starting their journey with Jesus of Nazareth. Can seasoned Christians attend? Absolutely - and they can certainly learn a lot from the conversation being had! But if you are someone who's been a Christian for a while, please bring a curious friend or family member.

What is the format? We believe the best conversations are had around a table with a warm meal and a bunch of friends. Alpha meetings start with food and drink (provided at no cost), followed by a short recorded talk posing some ideas and questions, and breakout groups of about 5-6 people to discuss our thoughts on the night's topic. That's it! No need to bring anything with you - food and materials are provided.

Are you in? We encourage you to come and be a part of the conversation! We're excited to meet you and explore curiously along with you.

Note: While space is limited to about 20 people, if our registration overfills, we may provide a secondary location/time to accomodate.

This Alpha meeting is organized and run by The Commons - an Evangelical Covenant Church in Rochester, New Hampshire. For more information, please visit our website at www.churchofthecommons.org.
